Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers' Awards Winners Announced

The winners of the 2017 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Awards, which are given annually to six women writers who demonstrate excellence and promise in the early stages of their careers, have been announced. The awards, which come with a $30,000 purse, will be presented to the six recipients on September 14 at a private reception in New York City. 

The winners for 2017 are Aamina Ahmad and Dominica Phetteplace for fiction, Ama Codjoe for and Tiana Nobile for poetry, Ebony Flowers for fiction/nonfiction, and Shawna Kay Rodenberg for nonfiction.Their individual bios are here.
