Lukas Prize Project Announces Second Work-in-Progress Prize

Columbia Journalism School and the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University announced today that the J. Anthony Lukas Prize Project will add a second $25,000 work-in-progress award to the prestigious prize program. The prizes honor the best in nonfiction book writing and the memory of Pulitzer Prize-winning author J. Anthony Lukas, and are sponsored by the family of the late Mark Lynton. For the first time this year, two $25,000 work-in-progress awards will be given, in addition to the Lukas Book Prize and the Lynton History Prize. Established in 1998, the Lukas Prize Project will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2018.

Submissions for the 2018 Lukas Prizes are now being accepted. The deadline to enter is Monday, December 11, 2017.
