NEA Announces $1.2 Million in Writing, Translation Fellowships

The National Endowment for the Arts has announced the latest recipients of its creative writing (prose) and literature translation fellowships. In total, the NEA will award $1.2 million in fellowships as part of its fiscal year 2018 grantmaking. 36 writers will receive $25,000 NEA Creative Writing Fellowships—fellowships alternate between poetry and prose, and this year’s fellowships are for prose—and 22 translators will receive fellowships of either $12,500 or $25,000 to support the translation of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and drama into English.
