T.C. Boyle Wins $30K Rea Award for the Short Story

T.C. Boyle has been awarded the 2014 Rea Award for the Short Story, which honors a writer who has has made a "significant contribution to the discipline of the short story as an art form." 

It was founded by Michael M. Rea in 1986 to encourage the writing of short fiction, and is sponsored by the Dungannon Foundation. 

Previous winners include James Salter, Charles Baxter, Amy Hempel, John Updike, Alice Munroe, and Grace Paley.
