Bob Wietrak Dies

Bob Wietrak, best known as v-p of merchandising at Barnes & Noble, died over the weekend from cancer. Known for his deep appreciation and for books, Wietrak had worked at Waldenbooks from 1977 to 1989 and joined B&N in 1990 where he worked until 2011. After leaving B&N, Wietrak served as director of publisher relations and book selection editor at Zola Books. As word of his death spread on Facebook, tributes to his enthusiasm for books and willingness to help authors, publishers, and fellow booksellers poured in for a man who devoted his life to selling books.
