Henry Holt to Publish Lucinda Williams’s Memoir

Three-time Grammy Award–winning singer Lucinda Williams has signed with Henry Holt and Company for her memoir. Gillian Blake, Holt’s editor in chief, bought the book’s North American and audio rights from David McCormick of McCormick Literary. The book is scheduled for publication in 2020. In her book, as yet untitled, Williams will, Holt said, "lend her celebrated song-writing skills for capturing life’s emotionally complexities to writing the story of her life, from her childhood in the Deep South and her days as a busker in New Orleans, through the years of being undervalued and often misunderstood by the recording industry and to her life now as one of America’s most important songwriters."
