Margaret West Taylor, Cofounder of Tyndale House, has Died

Margaret West Taylor, who cofounded Tyndale House Publishers with her late husband Kenneth Taylor in 1962, died March 12 in Winfield, Ill., her son Mark Taylor, Tyndale chairman and CEO announced Tuesday. She was 100 years old. 

The couple pioneered easy-to-understand translations of the Bible and built Tyndale into world’s largest privately held Christian publisher of books, Bibles, and digital media. Margaret Taylor worked for the company for nearly 20 years while rearing 10 children. She had a hands-on role as a proofreader, an order-entry clerk, and business manager until she retired from business operations in 1981 at age 64.
