Algonquin Acquires Memoir by Ex-FBI Agent Campbell

Algonquin Books has acquired world rights to Crossfire Hurricane: Inside the War on the FBI, by Josh Campbell, the CNN analyst and former supervisory special agent with the FBI who served as special assistant to FBI Director James Comey. Algonquin editorial director Betsy Gleick negotiated the deal with Keith Urbahn and Matt Carlini at Javelin. The book is a look at the bureau’s investigation into Russian election interference and an impassioned defense of institutions, including the FBI and the Justice Department, in the face of the Trump administration’s attempts to undermine the rule of law. It is tentatively scheduled to be published in the fall of 2019.
