Kevin Kwan's 'Crazy Rich Asian' Trilogy Sells 2m Copies

The novels in Kevin Kwan’s trilogy—Crazy Rich AsiansChina Rich Girlfriend, and Rich People Problems (Vintage)—are #1, #2, and #3, respectively, on the New York Times paperback fiction bestseller list, joining the company of E.L. James's Fifty Shades trilogy, which did the same in 2012. The books have sold more than two million copies total to date, and 1.5 million in this calendar year, which saw the first book in the trilogy adapted into a film that became a huge box office hit this summer. A boxed set of the trilogy will be available from Anchor Books on October 23.
