Kathy Belden has been promoted to v-p and executive editor at Scribner. Belden joined the imprint in March 2015, and brought with her writers including Jesmyn Ward, Kiese Laymon, and Mitchell Jackson. Since arriving, she has acquired works by authors including and Sarah Smarsh, and has worked with Charles Johnson, Tom Perrotta, Lacy Johnson, and Lisa See, among others.
