Promotions, Retirements at PRH Sales
Janet Cooke will retire from her position as v-p and group sales director at Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group at the end of the year. Her replacement has been announced as Christopher Dufault. Additionally, John Lawton, senior v-p and director of adult hardcover sales at Penguin Group, is retiring in spring 2019. Subsequently, Lauren Monaco, v-p and group sales director at Penguin Publishing Group, will expand her sales oversight to every imprint in the division.
Additional promotions include Cynthia Lasky, now senior v-p and group sales director at Random House & Crown, Christine Edwards, named v-p and group sales director at Crown, and Candice Chaplin, named to the newly created position of v-p of backlist sales at Penguin Random House Adult.
