Gaydos Named Editor-In-Chief of Oni Press
Sarah Gaydos, formerly editorial director of licensed publishing at Oni Press, has been promoted to editor-in-chief of the independent graphic novel publisher.
Gaydos joined Oni Press in April 2018. She was formerly a group editor a IDW also working with licensed properties such as Star Trek and Jem and the Holograms as well as original publishing. At Oni she originally worked on licensed series such as Rick and Morty, but also worked to acquire original content.
In her new role as editor in chief, Gaydos will direct the publishers editorial department, continue to oversee original comics and continue to develop licensing partnerships.
Gaydos began her career in comics and graphic novel publishing with the WildStorm imprint at DC Comics in 20096. After joining IDW Publishing, she focused on comics for kids.
Oni Press publisher James Lucas Jones praised Gaydos, noting that “Her taste is impeccable and broad. Her dedication to comics and the people who create them is virtually unmatched.”
