Karl Lagerfeld Bio Lands at Holt

Henry Holt and Company will publish a definitive biography of the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld written by Molly Young, a contributing editor to the New York Times Magazine who has profiled fashion heavyweights including Riccardo Tisci, Donatella Versace, and more. The book, Lagerfeld,  will depict Lagerfeld's rise to a globally influential designer as well as "thorny issues" surrounding his alleged attitudes about race, Islam, and #MeToo, according to a press release. A publication date for Lagerfeld has not yet been set.

Madeline Jones, assistant editor at Holt, took world rights for the book in the deal brokered by Seth Fishman at The Gernert Company.
