Welbeck Appoints Children's Division Leads

Welbeck Publishing Group has named Alexandra Allan, who joined Welbeck as interim group publisher for Welbeck Children’s Books on April 24, has been named group publisher for the division. Welbeck will be joined on September 2 by Laura Knowles, currently group editorial director at Young Quarto, who will become associate publisher of Welbeck Children’s Books. Marcus Leaver, Executive Director of Welbeck, said: “A key part of Welbeck’s future is children’s publishing and we are lucky to have been able to attract such a talented leadership team. Alex has quickly established an excellent rapport with our small but creative team and is a proven creative leader. Further, I am delighted that we can bring Laura to Welbeck.
