Demetriou Up, Kellow Steps Down at HC ANZ

James Kellow, CEO of HarperCollins ANZ, is stepping down after eight years in the role. Kellow, who joined HarperCollins in 2008 as sales director for HarperCollins ANZ, was first promoted to commercial director and then to the position of CEO in June 2012. Kellow, who has previously held roles at Penguin, Simon & Schuster, and Fourth Estate in the U.K., has agreed to stay on at HarperCollins for a short transition period. Jim Demetriou, currently group sales and marketing director at Australian independent publisher Allen & Unwin, will return to HarperCollins ANZ as CEO on March 3. Demetriou started his career at HarperCollins ANZ in 1995, eventually becoming COO before leaving to join Allen & Unwin in 2011.
