Mendez Berry Joins One World

Elizabeth Mendez Berry, formerly director of arts and media at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, has joined One World as v-p and executive editor. She is charged with expanding One World's list in the areas of feminism, Latinx literature, cultural analysis, and reported nonfiction. 

Mendez Berry is the cofounder of several philanthropic initiatives, including the Latinx Justice Fund; the Unicorn Fund, which "offers resources to artists and others who have been targeted for their online and offline presence; and the Critical Minded initiative, which supports cultural critics of color with "the goal of creating a more representative and dynamic cultural discourse." She is also a longtime critic and editor.
