Raim Joins Hachette

Sam Raim has joined Hachette Books as senior editor, effective immediately. Raim began his editorial career in 2013 at Penguin Classics, where worked with authors including Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont, and Anna Kavan, and published the first Penguin Classic translated from Korean, The Story of Hong Gildong. As an editor at Penguin Books, his acquisitions included Petra Hammesfahr's international bestseller The Sinner, Craig Davidson's The Saturday Night Ghost Club (an Indie Next pick), and Vince Houghton's Nuking the Moon. In 2018, he was named a Publishers Weekly Star Watch honoree.
