New Podcast, Bookable, Focuses On Books Behind the Scenes

Author Amanda Stern, the creator and host of the Happy Ending Music and Reading Series (held at Joe's Pub and Symphony Space in New York), has launched Bookable, a new biweekly podcast. The show, hosted by Stern, will feature interviews with prominent and rising authors focusing on behind-the-scenes stories of how the book came to be.

The first of the first season's eight planned episodes ran on March 1, with author Alexander Chee as its inaugural guest; further authors slated to join Stern on the show include Mira Jacob, Susan Choi, and Oyinkan Braithwaite. Bookable is the first podcast launched by Loud Tree Media, an independent podcast production company founded by Beau Friedlander, the former editor-in-chief of Air America Radio.
