PRH Canada's Plan to Address Diversity Issues

Penguin Random House Canada held a meeting of its employee-led Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has updated its anti-racism and accountability plan to mandate anti-racism training for all employees, with a focus on role-playing for senior managers. The company has also hired the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) to undertake a comprehensive, sensitive, and inclusive company-wide assessment. Finally, the company donated $60,000 distributed in equal parts to the Black Legal Action Centre, the Black Health Alliance, and the Nia Centre for the Arts. Finally, it has also expanded its corporate matching policy to make it easier for all employees to make contributions.

PRH Canada promises a progress report on September 1.
