New Award for BIPOC Booksellers Launched

Duende District Bookstore, with pop-up locations in Washington, D.C. and Albuquerque, N.M., and The Word, a literary nonprofit in Denver, have launched the Duende-Word BIPOC Bookseller Award. The prize will be given in three categories: activism, innovation, and leadership. Winning booksellers will be honored during a dedicated ceremony, and receive a plaque, a $700 prize, and registration to the 2020 [margins.] conference. The prize is sponsored by Bookshop.org and nominations are open from June 29-July 17.
