Mailchimp Produces Virtual Book Festival

Mailchimp, best known as an email newsletter platform, launched By the Books, a virtual book festival.  The festival is hosted on Mailchimp Presents, Mailchimp’s global streaming platform. The festival is featuring a series of 14 books chosen by Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow, co-hosts of the Call Your Girlfriend podcast, including A Black Women's History of the United States by Daina Ramey Berry, Kali Nicole Gross, Minor Feelings by Cathy Park Hong, and Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld.  

The festival is accompanied by the launch of a new podcast series, The Books that Changed Us, which hosted by Aaron Lammer and Max Linsky, co-hosts of the Longform Podcast. By the Book will also offer a collection of essays, curated by Ashley C. Ford, a selection of free-to-stream documentaries, starting with I Am Not Your Negro on July 13. In August, the organizers promise the launch of Book Shook, a new short-form series from Mailchimp Presents and Hello Sunshine.
