Read-a-Thon to Celebrate Bradbury Centennial

On August 22, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ray Bradbury will be celebrated with a virtual four hour Read-a-Thon of 'Fahrenheit 451.' The event is presented in partnership with the Los Angeles Public Library; the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers; and the Library of Congress, along with other participating public and university libraries nationwide,

A group of 39 different readers will read selections of the book. The readers will include Neil Gaiman, Rachel Bloom, Susan Orlean, Ann Druyan, Marlon James, William Shatner, and other writers, actors, librarians, and young readers.

The event begins at http://raybradburyreadathon.com on August 22 at 4:30 pm ET, and will be streaming online through September 5.
