Skyhorse Denies Amazon Rumors
Skyhorse Publishing has issued a statement refuting reports circulating on Twitter that it is allocating the entire first printing of Michael Cohen’s Disloyal to Amazon.
“Our first printing is as large as capacity allows and it is going to a wide variety of customers, not just one,” the statement reads. “Every independent bookstore order in our distributor Simons & Schuster’s system as of 8/27 will be in their hands by the on-sale date of Disloyal, which is September 8, 2020.”
Thursday, independent booksellers had been sharing reports via Twitter that Skyhorse was sending the first printing to Amazon exclusively and that, while other shipments were planned before the pub date, it was uncertain if all booksellers would receive their orders by September 8.
