PEN America Celebrates Olga Tokarczuk

Throughout this year, PEN America has marked the 50th anniversary of the first literary translation conference hosted by PEN America in 1970 by hosting a series of virtual events Translating the Future. The 17 events have featuring translators around the world in discussion about the art of translation. The series will culminate with three events, running September 23-25, focused on the work of 2018 Nobel Prize winner Olga Tokarczuk.

The three final events will bring together 11 translators of her work from around the world, to talk about her work, as well as the its impact across Scheduled participants include Natalie Diaz, Edwidge Danticat, Kate Briggs, Tracy K. Smith, Damion Searls, Ken Liu, Marilyn Nelson, and others.
