LB to Publish Don Lemon's 'This Is the Fire' In March
Bruce Nichols, publisher of Little, Brown and Company, has acquired North American rights to This Is the Fire by Don Lemon from Byrd Leavell and Albert Lee of United Talent Agency. The book's publication date is slated for March 16, 2021. The publisher describes This Is the Fire as "a searing and poetic message to America at a crucial moment in our country’s history as we determine our path forward," adding that, in blending "letters to his Black and white nephews with reporting and reflections on his slave ancestors, his upbringing in the shadows of segregation, and his adult confrontations with politicians, activists, and scholars, Lemon offers a powerfully honest portrait of America." Lemon is the host of CNN Tonight with Don Lemon and of the podcast Silence Is Not an Option.
