Richman to Co-Run UTA Media Rights Group

Talent and entertainment company UTA has named Jason Richman to co-lead its media rights group alongside longtime motion picture literary partner Keya Khayatian, who has helped to lead the group since 2017. Richman has worked at UTA since 2010, and represents clients including Celeste Ng, Stacey Abrams, Charles Yu, Salman Rushdie, Jesmyn Ward, Erik Larson, Elin Hilderbrand, Jia Tolentino, Samantha Irby, Lisa Hanawalt, Lindy West, and Ben Taub. Richman was the dealmaker behind Hulu’s miniseries adaptation of Ng's bestselling novel Little Fires Everywhere, which premiered in March 2020 and received five Emmy Award nominations, and negotiated the deal for Yu to adapt his National Book Award-winning novel Interior Chinatown into a Hulu series, among others.
