Barnes & Noble Press Increases Author Royalties

Barnes & Noble Press, bookseller Barnes & Noble’s self-publishing platform, has increased royalty rates, sped up payment times, and improved publicity opportunities for users. All authors using the platform will receive a flat 70% royalty rate for e-book sales, up from a range of 40% to 65%, effective February 1. The self-publishing platform will also accelerate payments to 30 days after purchase instead of the prior 60 days, and the platform's array of merchandising options will be expanded to include curated ads on, better email placement, and social media and blog exposure on Barnes & Noble Press and NOOK channels. More information, including the updated terms, can be found on the platform's website.
