Serial Box Adds 24 Titles to Series Programming

Serial Box, a digital reading platform that produces serialized genre entertainment in e-book and audiobook formats, has acquired 24 prose titles that will be adapted into original Serial Box content.

The 24 novels and novellas acquired include the works of such award-winning authors as Leanna Renee Heiber, Justin C. Key, and Gwendolyn Clare. Serial Box content is created TV-style by a team of writers that collaborate to produce 13-16 episode series. The storytelling is supported by narrators, sound effects and original musical scores. Consumers can read the stories as e-books or listen to the works as audiobooks or podcasts.

Diana M. Pho, a former editor at Tor/Forge Books, has joined the company as Serial Box Story Producer and will oversee the production of the books into Serial Box features. Among the titles that will be adapted into Serial Box series are the Spider King by Justin C. Key, a horror novel, Curious Hunger by Gwendolyn Clare, a YA tale of a cannibalistic serial killer, and Marigold Breach by Joel Dane, a sci-fi punk adventure tale.

Pho said, “acquiring speculative fiction for Serial Box has allowed me to think about storytelling in fascinating new ways. I’m excited to welcome these writers to Serial Box’s list”

Serial Box CEO and cofounder Molly Baron said, “Diana has an incredible eye (and ear) for propulsive stories that play with the nature of reality and our experience of it. She’s bringing us a new group of award-winning writers and fresh voices in the sci-fi, fantasy and horror space.”
