United Methodist Publishing House Dedicates New Headquarters

The United Methodist Publishing House (UMPH), which owns imprints Cokesbury and Abingdon Press, celebrated its new headquarters building after a dedication ceremony on Monday, July 28.

UMPH had been headquartered at Nashville 201 8th Avenue South since 1957, but board members voted to sell the historic property in 2012 when demands for hotel and retail space increased. Also, the construction of the Music City Convention Center across the street created an opportunity for UMPH to relocate, and the address for the new headquarters is now 2222 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard.

Nashville’s Mayor Karl Dean and Nashville Area UMC bishop William McAlilly joined UMPH staff and board members at Monday's dedication ceremony.
