Kickstarter Publishing Sets Up On Bookshop.org

Kickstarter, the popular crowdfunding platform, is partnering with Bookshop.org to set up a Kickstarter Publishing Bookshop page offering the growing list of comics, graphic novels, prose books and other titles funded by the site for sale.

Since its launch in 2009, Kickstarter has been used by indie artists and publishers to raise more than $310 million to fund the independent publication of thousands of books.

Sales generated via the Kickstarter Publishing Bookshop page will deliver revenue to the independent artists/publishers; while Kickstarter’s Bookshop.org commission on these sales will be donated to to NYC Books Through Bars, an all-volunteer collective that mails free books to incarcerated people across the United States.
