B&N to Release New Nook Tablet in April

Barnes & Noble has announced the release of a new 10-inch Nook-branded tablet e-reader. The device was developed in partnership with Lenovo, signaling a move from its prior partnership with Samsung. It comes with a variety of standard Android-operating system features and includes something called TÜV Rheinland-certified eye protection to reduce eye-strain. It will cost $129.99 and will be available in early April.

“We are thrilled to partner with Lenovo for the new tablet," said Susan McCulloch, senior director of Barnes & Noble Press and Nook Operations. “This new Nook is great for reading, playing games, or watching video. It will hit stores just in time for spring and it makes a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or graduations.”
