Berger Books to Publish ‘Rewild’ Fantasy Environmental Graphic Novel

Rewild, a new fantasy graphic novel focused on the environment and created by acclaimed comics writer Devin Grayson and artist Yana Adamovic, will be published by Dark Horse’s Berger Books imprint in October 2021.

Set in a magical realist realm ravaged by climate change, Rewild is the story of Poe, a mysterious homeless woman and fairy changeling, and Demond, an enterprising, albeit troubled, engineer. When Poe appeals for a park to appease dangerous mutation of mythical creates, Demond questions his own sanity even has he struggles to save his city and the world.

Grayson is a veteran comics writer who has written for DC (Batman), Marvel (X-Men), and Humanoids (Omni), among others, in addition to working on original graphic novels such as User (DC) and Matador (Image). Adamovic is from Serbia and has worked as colorist and artist for the French publisher Delcourt Editions since 2014.

Karen Berger, acclaimed comics editor and founding director of Berger Books, described the book as “Beautifully written and illustrated, Devin and Yana have crafted captivating characters in a timely tale where reality, myth and magic overlap.
