Melville House Unveils Huge Print Run for QAnon Book
Independent publisher Melville House has announced plans to do a first printing of 500,000 copies for its forthcoming title The Storm Is Upon Us. The book, by Mike Rothschild, is subtitled How QAnon Became a Movement, Cult, and Conspiracy Theory of Everything.
Melville House called the book, which is scheduled for June 22, is "the first serious study of the insidious QAnon conspiracy cult to see print." Rothschild, a journalist, has been following QAnon since 2018 and, according to Melville House founder Dennis Johnson, stand as "the rare, empathic journalist who ‘got’ the QAnon phenomenon right from the start," recognizing the group as something that "was coming from a long history of scamming and blaming that is woven into the American fabric."
