Abu Dhabi Program Highlights Americans, Translation Grants

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, scheduled for May 23-29 has released its full hybrid online and in-person program. Among the dozens of authors participating are two Americans, Tayari Jones and Mitch Albom. Germany is this year's guest of honor country.

The fair is also promoting its translation grant program, which this year is offering 300 translation grants to support print, digital and, now, audiobooks for publishers attending the fair physically or participating virtually. The grants offer $2,500 for children’s books and up to $4,000 for all other genres. The deadline to apply is May 30.
