SLF Begins Convention Support Grant Program

The The Speculative Literature Foundation has announced a new Convention Support Grant program for  2021-2022, which will distribute $10,000 over the course of the year, in grants of $500-$1,000 each, to science fiction and fantasy conventions and literary conventions "that have significant speculative literature content." The grants are intended to support conventions in developing more robust online presences and ensuring safety at in-person gatherings through the purchase of technology, personal protective equipment, and more. Nonprofit organizations will be preferred as applicants, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The application period for conventions taking place between June 1 and December 31 is from May 15 to June 15, and conventions taking place between January 1 and May 31, 2022, should apply between August 15 and September 15 of this year.
