B.B. Alston Wins B&N Children's & Young Adult Book Awards

Amari and the Night Brothers by B. B. Alston was selected as the overall winner in the inaugural Barnes & Noble Children’s & YA Book Awards. It beat out Picture Book Winner Mel Fell by Corey R. Tabor and Young Adult Winner Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley for the top prize. All three books received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly. The shortlisted and winning books were selected by B&N book buyers and children’s booksellers in stores across the country.
