'PW' News Editor Wins NYPC Award

John Maher, the news and digital editor at Publishers Weekly, has won the New York Press Club's 2021 Critical Arts Review award for internet writing for his work coediting, with Observer's Eric Vilas-Boas, "The 100 Sequences That Shaped Animation" for Vulture last year. The piece charts the history of the animated medium from 1892 to 2020 through the examination of specific animated sequences.
