New Members for PSU Book Publishing Program's Advisory Board

Portland State University has named the new members of its Book Publishing Program Advisory Board for the 2021-22 school year. They include:

  • Michelle Lewis, owner of Black-owned Portland Bookstore Third Eye Books
  • Chelsea Villareal, program manager of We Need Diverse Books
  • Leah Hernandez, founder and CEO of Young Authors Publishing
  • Leah Altman, development manager at the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation 
  • Michele Cobb of Forte Business Consulting
  • Seth Dellon, formerly director of strategic development at Publishers Weekly
  • Brian O’Leary, executive director of BISG

DongWon Song, agent at Howard Morhaim Literary Agency, and Porscha Burke, assistant publishing director and senior editor at Random House, will step down this year. The board is chaired by Dr. Rachel Noorda, director of publishing at PSU.

Correction: An earlier version of this article stated that Song and Burke were joining the board. They will not return this year.
