Texas Book Festival Announces Changes for 2021 Hybrid Programming

Texas Book Festival (TBF) has announced significant changes to the locations and format of this year's hybrid festival in light of concerns over the spread of Covid-19. The 2021 festival will scale back the in-person portion of its programming and will increase the number of virtual sessions.

Virtual sessions will run from Saturday, October 23 through Sunday, October 31; there will be no attendance limit, and attendees can tune in from anywhere. A small number of ticketed virtual sessions will include the featured author’s book in the ticket price.

TBF will also not have in-person sessions in Downtown Austin or at the Capitol, instead using the Austin Public Library and Symphony Square's outdoor amphitheater, where CDC guidelines can be better observed.
