GCP Acquires Two Thrillers by Colleen Hoover

Grand Central Publishing has announced a deal for a new psychological thriller by author Colleen Hoover, as well as the takeover of Hoover’s 2018 self-published bestseller, Verity. Karen Kosztolnyik, v-p and editorial director of fiction at GCP, acquired the rights from Jane Dystel of Dystel & Goderich Literary Management.   

GCP acquired world rights to the as-yet-untitled psychological thriller, which it will publish in hardcover, e-book, and audio editions in the summer of 2023. GCP has also acquired the North American print and e-book rights to Verity, which it has released in an e-book edition and will follow with a trade paperback edition in November 2021. Verity is also currently in development at Amazon Studios.

Hoover comes to GCP from Atria. Her backlist 2016 novel It Ends With Us has been a big bestseller this year due to Tik Tok.
