Jessica Mosher to Helm U. of Toronto Press

Jessica Mosher has been named president, publisher, and CEO of University of Toronto Press. Previously, Mosher was executive v-p and managing director at Nelson. Prior to joining Nelson, she spent 16 years in various roles at Pearson, including general manager for higher education in Canada.

Mosher succeeds John Yates, who is retiring after 17 years at the helm of UTP. Yates's last day will be October 29, and Mosher's appointment is effective November 1.

"In five years, UTP will be celebrating its 125th anniversary," said Mosher in a statement. "I believe relevance is the key to shaping the vision of the company as we celebrate our past and continue to prosper well into our next chapter."
