Brechner Resigns from ABA Board

In a brief announcement in last week's BTW newsletter, the American Booksellers Association announced that Kenny Brechner, owner of Devaney, Doak, & Garrett Booksellers in Farmington, Me., has resigned from its board. In the BTW item, ABA called Brechner "an important voice on the ABA board" and thanked him for his contributions. The organization said it is appointing an interim director to serve the remainder of his term until the election in May 2022. Brechner, a contributor to PW's children's bookselling blog, ShelfTalker, elaborates on his resignation in a post published on the blog this week.
