'And Their Children After Them' Wins 2021 Albertine Prize

Nicolas Mathieu’s And Their Children After Them (Other Press)translated by William Rodarmor, was named the winner of the 2021 Albertine Prize, presented by the French Embassy and supported by Van Cleef & Arpels.

An annual reader's choice award, the Albertine Prize recognizes U.S.-based readers’ favorite work of contemporary French fiction translated and published in the U.S. during the previous year. The award comes with a $10,000 purse.

Mathieu and Rodarmor were presented the prize by Albertine Prize Honorary Chairs Rachel Kushner and Daniel Mendelsohn at an award ceremony at Albertine, the official bookshop of the French Embassy in New York City.
