Gillian Flynn Books' First Acquisition Goes to TV

Stone Village Television has acquired film and television rights to Margot Douaihy’s forthcoming novel, Scorched Grace, from the Zando Books imprint Gillian Flynn Books. The book was the imprint's first acquisition. Jennifer Thomas of United Agents brokered the deal. Zhara Astra, Dylan Russell, and Scott Steindorff are set to executive produce the series, and Shannon Kobler is set to coproduce. The book, the studio said, is the first in "a series of hardboiled, queer, mystery thrillers." Stone Village most recently coproduced the HBO Max series Station Eleven, an adaptation of the book by Emily St. John Mandel.
