Jamie Raskin to Keynote at U.S. Book Show

U.S. Representative Jamie Raskin (MD-08) will deliver the closing keynote at the Libraries Are Essential program on day one of the 2022 U.S. Book Show, May 24.

More than 2,000 librarians are expected to attend the virtual trade show’s Libraries Are Essential program, an all-day series of panels and conversations dedicated to issues facing the library community.

Rep. Raskin is the author of Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy (HarperCollins) and chairman of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, which held a recent hearing on the ongoing efforts across the country to ban books from schools and public libraries.
