Angry Robot Launches Crime Fiction Imprint

As Bouchercon, the convention for mystery writers, gets underway in Minneapolis this week, U.K. publisher Angry Robot Books, best known for its SFF list, announced from the convention the launch of Datura Books, a crime fiction imprint. The imprint will publish, publisher Eleanor Teasdale stated, titles with “a strong sense of voice and place that push the boundaries of the genre while still playing with readers' favorite tropes.” Datura will release six titles over the course of the next year, including in February 2023 Death of a Dancing Queen, the adult debut by YA mystery author Kimberly G. Giarratano. Datura titles will be distributed in North America by Penguin Random House.
