Poets & Writers Names Inaugural Publicity Incubator Cohort

Poets & Writers has announced the ten fiction writers selected for its first-ever publicity incubator, Get the Word Out. 

The inaugural cohort is as follows: 

• Federico Erebia, whose debut novel, Pedro & Daniel, will be published by Levine Querido in June 2023
• Kristen Gentry, whose debut story collection, Mama Said, is forthcoming from West Virginia University Press in October 2023
• Anita Gail Jones, whose debut novel, The Peach Seed, will be published by Henry Holt & Company in August 2023
• Chin-Sun Lee, whose debut novel, Upcountry, will be published by Unnamed Press in fall 2023
• Magogodi Makhene, whose first book, Innards, will be published by W.W. Norton & Company in May 2023
• Mark Ernest Pothier, whose first novel, Outer Sunset, will be published by University of Iowa Press in spring 2023
• Shannon Sanders, whose fiction debut, Company, will be published by Graywolf Press in October 2023. 
• Brenda C. Wilson, whose first novel, Red Door Scriptures, will be published by SFK Press in April 2023
• Lauren Yero, whose debut novel, Under This Forgetful Sky, will be published by Atheneum Books for Young Readers in July 2023
• Ada Zhang, whose first book, The Sorrows of Others, will be published by A Public Space in May 2023
