William Morrow Partners with the 'Athletic' on Three-Book Series

William Morrow will publish a three-book series in partnership with sports media company the Athletic. William Morrow's nonfiction senior v-p and editorial director Mauro DiPreta negotiated the deal for North American rights with David Vigliano of Vigliano Associates, along with Trevor Gibbons and Dan Kaufman from the Athletic. Editor Nick Amphlett will edit. 

The first book in the series, The Football 100, will go on sale October 24, to be followed by The Basketball 100 in Fall 2024 and The Hockey 100 in Fall 2025. The Football 100, edited by the Athletic’s Mike Sando and Dan Pompei, will rank the 100 best players in the history of the NFL.
