Quinton Assumes Command of New Scholastic Unit

Following an announcement in April about its plans to combine its book fairs and book clubs business into one unit, Scholastic said it has completed the creation of the School Reading Events division. As previously announced, Sasha Quinton, formerly head of the book fairs group, has been named to lead the new division as executive v-p and president of school reading events.

To help her run the new division, Quinton appointed a new School Reading Events management committee, drawn largely from the team that has led the former book fairs business, which has had a strong rebound since the end of the pandemic.  In contrast, the book clubs unit as struggled to regain its footing confronted by lower school participation and rising costs.
