Pizza Hut’s Book It! Goes Digital with Amazon

Amazon and Pizza Hut are teaming up to celebrate the 31st anniversary of Book It!, the pizza company’s literacy program, offering kids in the program two free kindle books and discounted e-books from Amazon Publishing.

The Amazon collaboration will give kids in the program two free Kindle e-books: 2015 Geisel Medal winner You Are (Not) Small by Anna Kang and Christopher Weyant, and Secrets of the Book, by middle grade teacher Erin Fry. Children enrolled in the Pizza Hut Book It! Program can receive prizes, scholarships and, of course, free pizza when they complete reading goals in their classes.

Amazon is also offering Book It! participants access to e-books from Two Lions, its children’s imprint, at a discount of 50%. Parents can find the free and discounted books at BookItProgram.com/amazon. The program is also offering a teacher dashboard mobile app that tracks student reading goals and offers access to content and personal messages from Diary of Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney.
